Heart Knows No Distance…
Upon this cliff where ocean meets the sky,
I watch the waves roll in and wonder why
The miles between us cannot sever ties
B That bind our hearts, though oceans lie between.
The salt-sprayed air carries whispers of your name,
As seagulls cry what my heart cannot proclaim.
The setting sun paints colours on the foam,
A mirror of the love that calls me home.
Though continents divide our separate lives,
No distance can diminish what survives.
Your heart beats in this rhythm of the tide,
Connected by a love that will not hide.
I close my eyes and feel you near to me,
As close as these waves crashing endlessly.
For hearts that truly know each other's worth
Are never truly separate on this earth.
The moon will rise and silver this dark sea,
And somewhere now, you're thinking too of me.
And in that moment, we are side by side,
With oceans powerless to keep us tied.
