Golden Embrace…
Upon this grass, a verdant, soft embrace,
I watch the sun in its majestic race.
It spills its honey on the waiting land,
A warmth that settles like a gentle hand.
The buzzing bees, in their contented drone,
Compose a music I have always known.
A dragonfly, a jewel in the light,
Dances and darts, then vanishes from sight.
I close my eyes and feel the heat descend,
A quiet moment where all worries end.
The breath I draw is sweet and full and deep,
While secret promises the shadows keep.
This simple gift, this hour of perfect peace,
A moment where all striving finds its cease.
The heart expands, with gratitude so full,
For life's beauty, brilliantly beautiful.
And in this stillness, I can understand,
How rich I am, right here, just holding sun
upon my skin, and life within my hand.
