Natures Throne….
Perched on granite warmed by sun,
I watch the cascade rush and run.
A thousand diamonds in the spray,
That dance and glisten through the day.
The water sings its ancient song,
As it has done the whole day long.
From mossy cliffs, it leaps and falls,
Answering nature's primal calls.
Around me, life in vibrant green.
The ferns, the trees, the grass between.
A dragonfly with wings of glass,
Lets moments of the day just pass.
No rush, no need to be elsewhere,
Just me, the rock, the water, air.
This quiet spot where time stands still,
Fulfills the soul, and warms the chill.
The mist cools skin while sun above,
Reminds me of a simpler love.
Not for a person, but for this,
The wild world's unforced, quiet bliss.
I'll sit here till the shadows creep,
And keep this memory while I sleep.
Of water, sun, and solid stone,
In this wild place I've called my own.
