Somewhere Out There …
I know you're out there somewhere,
Moving through your days, unaware
That across this world of sun and stone,
Another heart beats much like your own.
Perhaps you're watching evening fall,
Or listening to the raindrops call,
Or smiling at a stranger's joke,
While I, in longing, quietly invoke
Your presence in my life someday.
Though we've not met, I feel you near,
In whispered winds, in dreams so clear,
In moments when my soul feels whole,
You're the missing piece that makes me whole.
I wonder what you're doing now,
If you somehow feel this too.
This pull toward someone you don't know,
This seed of love that starts to grow
Without a name, without a face,
But with undeniable grace.
So until our paths at last align,
I'll keep this space within my heart,
Where you already reside,
My love, my future, my other part,
Waiting for the day we'll finally meet
And make this incomplete feel complete
