The queens blue veil …

Upon a canvas dark and deep,

Where silent, sleeping worlds do keep,

The moon ascends, a silver sphere,

But draped in hues of blue, so clear.

Not white, as poets often claim,

But kissed by twilight's gentle flame.

A sapphire queen in night's embrace,

With light that paints the void with grace.

The ocean mirrors her strange face,

A liquid jewel, a solemn space.

Each cresting wave, a shard of glass,

Reflecting heaven as hours pass.

The mountains wear her azure shroud,

A ghostly glory, silent, proud.

The forest floor, a checkered light,

Where shadows dance and take their flight.

So let the world in slumber lie,

Beneath this vast and solemn sky.

For in this blue, my soul is free,

Lost in the moon's cold mystery.

This is absolutely beautiful 💙✨

You've gotten really good with your poetry. It's hard to use so few words per line, and end up with such a smooth flow of rhyming words, without even sounding rhymey. Plus I loved your metaphors. In all, you paid her due diligence. 👏
@moonlightlullaby Thank you 🙏🏻😀
