A Pumpkin Patch Christmas

oh, what a wonderful day
a wonderful day, yes indeed
with its blue skies and its warm sunshine

Christmas time in the pumpkin patch
Its where I grew up, you see
with mother and father and all my family
friends and relatives too

the pumpkin patch is a wholesome place
a friendly place indeed
and on this this day a tree appears
and all us pumpkins waiting for Santa's sleigh

smiles abound, hot chocolate with marshmallows too
gifts are wrapped with pretty bows
and multi-colored light strands dot every "i" and cross every "t"
oh yes, a hearty yes, its Christmas day in the pumpkin patch

come the night streaking across the sky
Santa's sleigh comes riding by
piled with gifts for me and you
and the smiles on our faces tell that sweet old story

of how St. Nick knows just what to do
and as the day dawns the Christmas tree looms
family, friends, and pumpkins too
