Colors in vain
I was a rainbow, bold and true,
A canvas brushed in red and blue,
With gold and green, and violet gleam,
A living, breathing, painted dream.
I danced through storms, I lit the rain,
A fleeting joy, a tender pain.
With every drop, my colors spun,
Then faded softly, one by one.
I burned so bright, yet you confined
My endless light to you, colorblind.
A canvas brushed in red and blue,
With gold and green, and violet gleam,
A living, breathing, painted dream.
I danced through storms, I lit the rain,
A fleeting joy, a tender pain.
With every drop, my colors spun,
Then faded softly, one by one.
I burned so bright, yet you confined
My endless light to you, colorblind.
