but if only for a season
loving you would be so grand

if I searched my heart as to why
loving you would be the best reason

people come into our lives
sometimes but only for a season
we wonder sometimes
and we ask so, how long will this last

tomorrow is not promised
and it’s certainly not a given
a season might be for just one day
but do we make that day the forever we both dreamed of

or do we waste the time granted
for the reasons we might never fully grasp
but the season is upon us
and how long it’s gonna last we just don’t know

let’s live this day like it’s our last day
because you never know when the bells toll
will we mourn the time the season ended
