Take It Away From Me

I wish I could give it all up
You know the feelings emotions pain
Disappointment when it rains
The feeling of being picked last
When you know you can kick ass
Of feeling lower than the shortest blade of grass
But Alas
I can't; emotions I hate them so
If it was possible then very far away I would throw them so
They could collide with asteroids and get destroyed
Then a numb man I'd no more could my heart be toyed
Yes take it all the despair the anguish
The angst I feel while I wait for a yes as I languish
Only to be let down again catch it?
The last few bars were a reenactment
This elusive code to coldness I've gotta crack it
I'd trade it all in heartaches to not feel
Even my caring side if it meant my resolve could be steel
See, love don't love those who love so hard
So take it all away from me...so I no longer wear the scars.....
