Gentle sunlight… by moi

[media=https://youtu.be/8kJMCkqJRz0]

There is gentle sunlight streaming through the window.
Reflecting on time passed by.

Oh, ‘poor Yorick. I knew him, Horatio'.
The brevity of age and era
Fossilised in a skull.
From frontal to occipital,
From temporal to temporal,
The zygomatic arches,
Once the keystones of so many smiles,
The descending landscape of rivers, of tears.
We are dying, Horatio, from the moment we are born.
These damn Hamletian fatal flaws.
When the chin choppers no longer need a dentist,
Gravity, Horatio. It makes fools of us all.

I sought the solace of connection
To lie with somebody in silence
Fucking once to be understood
To be wanted not just needed
But like Pegasus, we fly too close to the sun.

In acuteness, I wallow in my shame
In silence, I suffer for an explanation
Raw self reflection, I don’t blame dopamine.
There is no self pity.
Sometimes, in doing life, words
Kind words and seeking closeness
Get lost in translation.

There is gentle sunlight streaming through the window.
And on special days like this
For now, Horatio,
I will continue to brush my chin choppers
Respect the laws of physics,
Wear sunscreen,
And try better not to get lost in translation.

Until, beyond that, I will adore and damn these Hamletian fatal flaws.
The mantra I will hum,
Before gravity makes fools of us all;

“I was once young, I was once unbelievably young”.
