If she settles down, she will be grounded, but you want her to take your hand
to establish the bond you hope to count on, but there’s something you don’t understand

She floats through life like a butterfly on a rainbow she sees with no end
Never staying for long so no one can hold on; she’ll blow through you just like the wind

Now she’s sifting through all, all that you offer, weighing your gifts as is they’re just sand

With a smile of surprise, her selfish disguise means that you don’t understand
She smiles in your face as if she really cares, but your gifts mean nothing in her hands
Give her pearls and rings and pretty gold things, but for her they are nothing but sand
She will smile in surprise but her true feelings you fail to understand[/c]
