Hill Climb [I Like to Write Poems]

Hill Climb

I'm trying hard to fight each day.
Life hard knocks get in the way.
Path is step on hill I climb.
And covered with slippy slime.

One step forward one slip back.
Life never giving any slack.
Life around falling apart.
Uphill struggle still at start.

All I have are these words of mine.
Rhymed out across each feeble line.
The slime hardens, the hills flats out.
But all to briefly life will shout.

Pulling me back to hills low start.
Im laying there with heavy heart.
Struggling even to get on one knee.
All hill tops mocking in great glee.

Watching, waiting for me to fall.
Hill tops laughing at me and all.
Making steps for easy climb.
Then half way up they turn to slime.

Down I slip and find each rock.
Bashed about in great shock.
Cut or bruised on every part.
I kneel to face another start.
