I Write Bad Poetry

We got along like seal milk on a dumpster fire,
t'was all the more so impressive that yon maiden was stacked -
like a tattoo of Betty Boop on the elbow of a white power felon stirring the gruel kettle,
Her memory burnt like unfine wine into my retinals,
leaving but a whisp of foggy paddleboat rides around the midfield to recall the mindfeels
she alone managed to short circuit all my poetics, forever,in all guises,
for all the saggy dates to follow, lingering in aroma and what might have seemed clever

That's actually the first piece of excellent poetry I've seen on this site.
Reads like a first draft that could have a little polish with the structure and cadences,
but I'm nevertheless very impressed.

@hartfire my gosh,thanks
I was just emoting on the random.
We should embrace wordplay on this site, methinks.
@dubkebab I'd love to see more wordsmithing here.
If one relied only on this site,
one would think it was a dying art.

@hartfire I pretty much gave up writing here,it all just sank into seeming oblivion
Then I was telling a friend about a funny /tragic episode and she encouraged me to post it,so yeah, why not randomly brainstorm ?
EP used to really help me in that regard, getting actual feedback on actual ideas.
@dubkebab You can friend me and message me on ideas if you like.
I write poetry, short stories and novels, and I'm an editor.
I generally check in here about once a day - though sometimes I might be absent for a week or two. I'll always reply to messages as soon as I see them,
