I Like to Write Poems

Here I lay my head down to sleep
Time goes by and I only weep
The hours pass and I only cry
Not sure why

A feeling of guilt and fear
Fear of never being enough
Never knowing what to say
the things going through my brain
Never knowing what to do
I don't want to hurt you
Shuttered eyes all through the night

Same as in the light
My eyes are closed
My lips are sealed
My tears are hidden by this veil
A veil of joy and happiness
Oh don't I wish it was real
Don't I wish to not have this inside

A feeling of guilt and fear
Fear of never being enough
Never knowing what to say
the things going through my brain
Never knowing what to do
I don't want to
Hurt you
Hurt me
Play this game
And runaway
