I Write Poetry and Short Stories
You are a melody that I can't get out of my mind
Thoughts of you in my lonely mind are intertwined
In the files of my mind I gaze upon memories clear
Nostalgic thoughts they inspire of only you my dear
By tradition I am bound and cannot run to your side
For I've given my solemn word and by vow am tied
I anxiously await for your return with all my heart
Daily expectation gives both agony and and a start
In my daily prayers no influence with God it seems
Yet every night thoughts of you fill all of my dreams
In our lives the burden of obligation rests with weight
If you should return I'll trust we can make our own fate.
Your absence is such a heavy burden that I must bear
Yet ever since you've been gone, I still so deeply care
