I Like to Write Poems

Sunrise
 
Waiting for the sun to rise.
As it wakes the not so wise.
To set the world of darkness free.
All it seems excepting me.
 
Waiting by that friendship bridge.
Sun rising over distant ridge.
Shadows long but moving fast.
Thinking deep about my past.

Warmth felt for the suns first ray.
Lays awake the lonely day.
Waking up the friendship stone.
To make me feel not alone.
 
Sun shining on full power.
As it cycled through each hour.
Potential friends walk right past.
Sun sets I’m alone at last.
