I Used to Write Poetry

Its really interesting I me when I find poems that I wrote a few years ago. Its like reading an old diary. This one was call "You Want to Know the Truth?":

You want to know truth?
To take those throbbing blows?
I really don’t want to do this
But you asked for it, so here goes.

Maybe I am stupid
Maybe I’m naïve
You are so much
Every girls dream

But I don’t want to love you
Loving you makes it hard to breathe
You are so much
Every girls dream

Like the rising to the sun
You are always there.
And what do I do?
Stab you and leave you in despair

I lead you in like a dark angel
With the innocent eyes of deceit
And you always come willingly
When heartbreak is all you will meet.

I keep saying
That “I want to be single”
What I really want
Is to be free to mingle

A solitary petal in the wind
Free to go where the road chooses to bend
To not be trapped by the sure hand of certainty
To live, and breathe, and bask in liberty

There are so many voices.
In my head is a crowd
I want to be free
I must know: Am I allowed?

Perfect. 👍👍
And yes, you are allowed.
The falcon can not be caged,
Nor the Alfa wolf, her hunger and lust, setting her above the pack.
The Lioness stalks her prey, kills and never looks back.
These things are your expression of your inner self,
Never stagnant, not afraid to be "Me."
A petal in the wind,
A butterfly flyin...
Dipsy-Doodle, Fancy-Free.
