I Wrote a Poem

Flower

The Sun.
So brilliant in its glow
Nourishing with its heat

I feel the change...
an Expanse.
Pushing against the softened walls
of my enclosure.

Tendrils form... and I plunge down into rich soil.
Moist and musky...
The deep black earth...
an elixir of life awaits.

I branch out... reaching...
And feel the sun coursing thru me.
Storms; they come and go,
And I feel the sweet water flow...
entering me... fulfillment...

I build on these foundations and thrive.
I lift my heart to the life-giving sun...
I push at my boundaries,
Past what has been.

I’m becoming something more... I create...
and magic frees my bloom in glorious color.
An ode to the sunlight and earth,
And all that sustains me... a
Nature at its purest.

I am Flower
