I Love to Write Poetry
My light bulb has went dim
Now I sit in black rooms
Once my light was full to the brim
But now it is black and looms
I feel it's presence rising
Making itself known to all
I feel my body writhing
Too painful to stand and to angry to fall
My wounds of sadness throb
I feel them beating
Like the heart whose light got robbed
It had one last love filled meeting
True love has run it's course
No course two will ever compete
For life like this is coarse
Never getting to feel complete
The light bulb can not be changed
For it is as one of a kind as my thumb print
But it can be deranged
Which is why it is dark lit
It was taught a dark path
Of pain and suffering
It knows how to do the math
And it will not let darkness hold it's ring
My bulb will outsmart the darkness
Smite it from it's heart
But for now I sit in darkness
Just like the very start.
Now I sit in black rooms
Once my light was full to the brim
But now it is black and looms
I feel it's presence rising
Making itself known to all
I feel my body writhing
Too painful to stand and to angry to fall
My wounds of sadness throb
I feel them beating
Like the heart whose light got robbed
It had one last love filled meeting
True love has run it's course
No course two will ever compete
For life like this is coarse
Never getting to feel complete
The light bulb can not be changed
For it is as one of a kind as my thumb print
But it can be deranged
Which is why it is dark lit
It was taught a dark path
Of pain and suffering
It knows how to do the math
And it will not let darkness hold it's ring
My bulb will outsmart the darkness
Smite it from it's heart
But for now I sit in darkness
Just like the very start.
