I Am Not a Poet But I Think I Write Poems

Each different type of pain
Received
Either
You allow it to
Make up who you are
Or break you apart

I am slowly picking up these pieces
Wishing to piece myself together
However
The unspeakable name
Brought up from time to time
kept adding more
Pieces
To this broken
Puzzle

It is not all depressing
Behind darkness
For
There is a small dim of light
Behind it

Love is a beautiful pain
However
There is a personalized gain
Either
It’s a lesson
Or a blessing
May it be both
At the same time
We are all a collage of experiences
Molded by the people who we meet
In our lifetimes

We add certain parts to ourselves
Lose certain parts
Does that make each one of us
A masterpiece
In this lifetime
Is that the definition for what makes us
Truly unique
Individuals

Is there a certain mood you have to be in to write these?
@SW-User @SW-User No, not exactly. I wrote these out of deep thought. Earlier today I was feeling depressed, but a simple conversation over the phone can brighten up the day. I decided to type up my thoughts in this kind of poem structure.
@CuddleClose @SW-User I may add the fact that I gained inspiration from an individual as well and from other readings.

Ok I mean I see it's like finding lessons in pain it seems. It's a nice poem though. I like it.

@CuddleClose that's cool I assume this is an individual that means alot to you
@SW-User There is always a lesson. A lesson also comes with a blessing. To encounter and to make the choice and learn from it. Thank you kindly.

@CuddleClose no problem. You're right there are still all those lessons to learn. To survive life is to embrace learning my grandpa use to say.
