I Love Poetry

Night Light .

Oh moon ,distant moon
such a wondrous sight .
The stars pay homage
in the darkness of night .
Your brightness shines out
pretty lantern in the sky .
Your warm smile is needed
on you we rely .
Let's reach out our arms
and caress your bright glow ,
earth worships your presence,
shadows lengthen and grow .
The hearts that you touch
beat in time with the wind ,
that shakes the frail leaves ,
the young branches , they bend .
So moon precious moon ,
a miracle to behold,
we bow and salute you ,
a mystery in words untold .
