Evening's Star

Within the lights of the evening's star
Upon the moonbeams that touch the earth
Ride the wishes of a forsakened soul
Who wishes for your true happiness
Within the dreams of a heart ajar
Upon a train of thought that gives hope birth
With that lasting hope shall love extol
A steady hand on your cheek ; caress
Within the mind it's near and far
Upon his grin of deepest mirth
A friendship forged in a blackened hole
With a loyalty that does not transgress
Within the wind of whispers from afar
Upon the words of integral worth
There lies a truth you cannot cajole
With a lasting promise you will not suppress
