I Like Poetry

Are there words to even be said
Can I find anything that will drive you from my head
Forever there day after day
No matter what is said and down, you are destined to stay
Did things work as they should have?
Could I have done anything better?
Will we ever know?

Summer rain

The gentle touch of the rain felt warm against my skin.
Not the cold downpour of a winter’s day,
But the sudden flash of a summer's rain falling over me

People rushing to find shelter as the first drops Begin
Quickly, turning to a deluge of moisture forming high above
And raining down on their bodies

I feel its touch soaking me to the skin.
Clothes become one against the flesh
Twisting against my body, as I turn in the rain
The brightness of the sun in the sky
Contrasting against the clouds formed above
As they give life to the downpour.

A moment of magic in the brightness of the summer day
My senses coming to life, the beauty lost on so many
The touch of the rain as far as the eye can see
