First time writing my own poem.. let me know what you guys think!

The roads are missing me:

Everything happened with the blink of an eye

I raised my hands and looked up to sky

How could a joyful moment diverge into grief and sorrow.

Time also stood still as if there was no tomorrow

The worst part was going through it alone.

Nobody to call when you pick up the phone.

They say I’ll never be able to be behind the wheel

This can’t be right, this can’t be real

Right now, the beauty of life is beginning to touch me again.

I practice gratitude and patience to ease off the chronic pain.

Whatever will be, will be

I just hope the roads are also missing me.
