Coping. Coping. Coping.

coping

My therapist says I'm coping with my grief
well.
for the first time in my life.
if you call

Eating so many doughnuts you want to puke
dyeing your hair green
and binge watching tv
healthy.
getting tattoed
writing things that make you want to cry
getting lost in so many books

healthy.

I will be okay though

It sounds like you are healing.
It's that fact you are doing. Even though it may seem out of the ordinary that in itself is normal.
What you've shown is the act and the will to live and certainly not give up.
By over eating you've forced your body to have a reaction. A negative one but still it offers the reassurance that you are alive. (nothing without consequence)
Maybe you've always had a desire to dye your hair a wild colour but right now this is not unusual so you're on trend.
Binge watching TV is something we all get sucked into especially when it's such a good series...
Maybe getting a tattoo was for sentiment, maybe to feel some kind of pain but the ending result is a beautiful image that will remind you of this time and your growth once you move past it.
Crying is cathartic so if you cry and write you are demonstrating your exact feelings most people struggle to articulate emotions, so that's a credit to you.
And self care in the form of reading is healthy, knowledge is power. Isolation is a good thing especially during grief as you will experience a range of emotions sometimes positive, negative and anything in between.
Embrace this time.
I say this "I'm formulating, I'm absorbing everything processing it and when I'm ready you will know".

Good luck to you, and I'm sorry for your loss.
