I Like Poetry
I like many poets, including Verlaine and Rimbaud, but I've yet to really get into the scene with new poets in Paris. It would be interesting, words have a lot of power.

I appreciate your love of poetry. I think we make a mistake though when we say words have a lot of power. I believe ideas have a lot of power
Words themselves have none. Well crafted poetry moves us through the ideas evoked. The words are vehicles to convey ideas because we have agreed that those words stand as symbols for those ideas.
If words themselves had power we would all speak one language because ideas are universal.
