I will not be your sycophant
Do not be mine
Although you may be drawn in and
Beguiled and wooed

I am so flawed
So lacking
Your disappointment will be endless
So do not

Play next to me
And through me
I’ll do it too

In moments we’ll rejoice
And love and conquer the world
Then kneel to pray
When we remember
We are of it
And not the other way around
