I Write Dark Poetry

The stars dim within the night sky,
Sadness is above as each mind just asks why,

Throw caution to the wind and feel the chill,
Under the moonlight beyond the hill,

Tears flow from two souls which weep,
Both lost in sorrow becoming full and deep,

The night sings as one tries to breathe,
Two souls apart which will never meet,

No longer willing to surrender to their first impression,
Lost in deep and unrelenting depression,

Both drifting and unable to reconnect,
Just left to that solo dance where one reflects with more hurting and some regret,

Dancing in another place and another time,
Where everything stops and gently becomes perfect within the rhyme...
