I Write Dark Poetry

Splashing upon puddles in the rain,
Helps alleviate the sadness and the pain,
It is like taking a shower without a care,
Releasing the troubles I now bare,
Just getting rid of all inhibition and the chains,

Push these demons away which cling to my back,
Dear Lord, just cut me some slack,
Let this empty feeling wain,
Get rid of these emotions I disdain,
Give me purpose to find the right track,

What lies ahead is just a guess to me,
Taking off my blinders and now willing to see,
Seeing the sun beyond the clouds and just trying to break the constant monotony,
Wanting to live a life which is free,

Left to loneliness within a bleeding heart and a mind which is always in a hurry,
Why has life always been so bleak and blurry,
How to wrestle anguish from my brain,
To think clearly and rid the pain,
Dear God please take away my despair and worry,

For once please place the wind at my back as I plow ahead,
Take away my chaotic thoughts which bring me dread,
Heal my heart which forever bleeds,
Feed my soul which yearns and always needs,
Help me find my way as I continue to tread,

Release all my heavy burdens which now heavily weigh,
On a trying soul which constantly sways,
Release this tension that consumes my thinking mind,
Help my body relax and finally unwind,
Dear God, this moment I now pray...

The Lord is allowing you to walk this path to learn a valuable lesson. Lean on Him, for understanding and in time you will see why you are walking the path you are currently on. Nothing happens without reason.
