[center][i]A walk upon the frozen lake

Each step a risk

Every chance I take

Black ice surface, like a pane of glass

Reflects my purpose, as the pain holds fast

Bitter cold and unforgiving

Biting through hearts a’living

Frozen but I am colder

I’m in control

As I grow older

I feel the weight

Of what my path is

I won’t hesitate

My will surpasses

Mirror, mirror

On the lake

Who sees clearer

My cold heart...

...aches
