A Place in My Prayers

All I can do is add you to my prayers.
You wandered here to be heard,
Opened your heart in hope
That a few faceless names might understand.

Toned voices, drifting words—
Perhaps they bring you comfort.
Your pain may be a partner’s crime,
Unrequited love, or the quiet rage
Of an unfair world.

Maybe it’s loss—friends or loved ones,
Or simply the wish to share a laugh
Behind the curtain of names and icons.

Who am I to judge?
You are not angel nor devil,
Just a soul who wandered here.

I can’t be your solace,
Nor the hands to mend your life.
All I can do
Is fold my hands close to my heart,
And add you—
To my daily prayers.
