Singing of Cellular Dust

"I thought I was evil until I looked out at the universe, I saw demons in the twinkling stars, stars whose light I stole and which they finished off. They watched me and I peered back knowing they saw. What I took were crumbs. They noticed. Enough to let me take them. Wickedness permitted. The control I had, sunken carrion of a sun that doesn't shine and a thing that bleeds, but shall not die."

This reminds me of a hadith in Islam. It is about demons stealing from the knowledge of 5th heaven by spying on the light beings or something of the sort.

It is also the opposite of fearing to look to the abyss.
