A Rhyme That Has Nothing To Do With Socks
Bare Feet
by: Rob Paquin
Rummaging through the sock drawer
All these unmatched pairs
Stripes and checkers Solid hues.
No pairs that I can bear.
Just a million mismatched socks now
Though none my feet can wear
With feet all cut and broken
I still can’t shed the tear
I just wash the dirty socks I see
And find them worse for ware
With holes along all the seams
And heels that are threadbare
I send them to the sock drawer
Just so that I can stare
At the million mismatched socks I have
Without a single pair to wear!
