Can you write poetry?

I'm not talking about the word,
I mean something romantic or profound,
you know that the pen is a sword
with which to make your thoughts resound;
time escapes us all but we can our thoughts record,
instead of them discarded in our mind's mound
and maybe with another soul reach an accord,
a new friendship discovered and found.

The word unheard and written down,
Felt within the heart without a murmur or sound,

Words which cause cognition,
Stirring emotion and vision,

Time marches on but the written word remains,
Indelible like a precious photo within a picture frame,

To touch another soul, stir another mind and melt another heart,
A brand new start, a new friendship, a work of art….
