Can you write poetry?

I'm not talking about the word,
I mean something romantic or profound,
you know that the pen is a sword
with which to make your thoughts resound;
time escapes us all but we can our thoughts record,
instead of them discarded in our mind's mound
and maybe with another soul reach an accord,
a new friendship discovered and found.

"My Thoughts, I Cannot See"

My emotions reflect off the screen,
They pour from my eyes,
Seep from my veins,
And I'm blinded by the intensity of "feelings."
Keeping them hidden, I do my best,
But in the end,
They're exposed for all to see.
Naked and in your face,
Just like me-
Take it, or leave it.
