Can you write poetry?

I'm not talking about the word,
I mean something romantic or profound,
you know that the pen is a sword
with which to make your thoughts resound;
time escapes us all but we can our thoughts record,
instead of them discarded in our mind's mound
and maybe with another soul reach an accord,
a new friendship discovered and found.

Window in the Sky

Last to bed, first to rise
He wakes in a cloud in the skies
The sun is still down, he is still up
He fills with water from a big cup
He’s eager to begin, desperate to start
On his new path with a filled up heart
She breathes new life into this weary old man
He’s grateful to be young again in this master plan
They take each other’s hand and run towards this new path
They hope for few turns and that their love will last
Years go by and they’re still high
They faced some big monsters and won with ease
Side by side getting so far while living as they please
They’re still in love as they grow old together
Everything around them faded away as time went by
He thinks of them together during this crazy weather
As he sits and writes this at a window in the sky
