Solitary soul, my poem
From birth I was never like the rest,
For it's dishonesty and phoniness I detest,
Enjoying restful moments alone, sometimes misbehaving,
Solitude was often my haven,
The truth always mattered since my inception,
Always rejecting this existence of illusion and deception,
Often left within self reflection, my head bowed,
Never willing to follow the crowd or speak out loud,
Unwilling to sell my soul and or buy the lies,
Leading to a life of consternation and endless sighs,
So many people including myself finding it hard to make their way,
Time marches on, a world in disarray,
Conformity shall never win the day,
For it is the unique contrite individual God shall never cast away,
Yearning for truth, expecting nothing less,
Unable to lend my soul to this world's chaotic mess,
Time to set sail, and learn from the lessons when one does fail,
Hoping and praying some day justice will prevail,
For it's dishonesty and phoniness I detest,
Enjoying restful moments alone, sometimes misbehaving,
Solitude was often my haven,
The truth always mattered since my inception,
Always rejecting this existence of illusion and deception,
Often left within self reflection, my head bowed,
Never willing to follow the crowd or speak out loud,
Unwilling to sell my soul and or buy the lies,
Leading to a life of consternation and endless sighs,
So many people including myself finding it hard to make their way,
Time marches on, a world in disarray,
Conformity shall never win the day,
For it is the unique contrite individual God shall never cast away,
Yearning for truth, expecting nothing less,
Unable to lend my soul to this world's chaotic mess,
Time to set sail, and learn from the lessons when one does fail,
Hoping and praying some day justice will prevail,
