So if you coordinate an illegal abortion over Facebook Messenger the police can get that data at a moment's notice unless of course you use Facebook secret chats.
Finally moving on to Apple, Apple likes to market that it's iMessages are end-to-end encrypted-unless of course you're communicating with a non apple customer OR you like many of the rest of use default settings and have your iMessages backed up to the iCloud

p.s. WhatsApp comes preinstalled with iCloud backups enabled. if you install it AFTER you disable iCloud backups of your iMessages you'll have to disable WhatsApp backups too, and likely the same for all new messaging apps.

Do not make life easy for Law Enforcement when unjust laws are on the books.
DISABLE iCloud backups of all your messaging apps and make these pink boys have to do the hard work of Breaking your keys, remember most of the time you only need to delay them seven years before the statues of limitation wear off.

Basically apple has a copy of your keys so, even if end-to-end encrypted all the FBI has to do is ask apple and in most cases without even a subpoena they'd cooperate.
