I wrote this and called it a poem

So sad that we had to quickly depart,
For the memories you gave me remain deep within my heart, is it impossible to restart?

It's your soul I came to help comfort and save,
You are as beautiful as the flow of each individual ocean wave, it's your soft voice I still crave,

Continue to nourish your soul,
Make yourself whole, for time will forever take its toll,

I am content to walk from behind,
Hoping I was never unkind, happy to let you shine,


Just left to wonder why you vanished like the wind and rain,
Why did you cause each of us so much pain?
My battered heart still remains....
