My new favorite poem ❤️
“Simp Gardens “ by visionary the poet
When I look at you I see like nine reasons to be a simp and one reason not to. I never been into math, but I gotta say I like my odds.
Reason one I dig you like a shovel which is to say that it’s less about the beauty I see when I look at you and more about I found beneath the surface. Two you’ve been hurt and so have I but you nurture scars into a soil so rich that nothing broke could afford to bloom here. Three I’m convinced that your soil was made for these seeds and that every seed planted before me was just weeds. Four we both know what it’s like to water what’s already dead it’s how I know it’d be different this time. Five you make me wanna plant love in all the right places like within your bones for starters cause I know that’s where you hide your fears and I want to grind the Skelton of your doubts into a fertilizer for mushrooms. I want a psychedelic trip for our love. Six I want to grow a love so light that even the trees stop to gaze. Meet me under the sun’s rays, look me into a sun’s daze, hold me still like Sundays. Seven and when the darkness seeps in like Mondays I want to meet you there to remind you of the magic you’ve made under moonlight. I’ve seen you paint roses the color of heartbreak the way that falling leaves sing the sound of forgiveness. I’ll remind you of the balance that greenhouses are made of. Eight and when it storms I want to meet you in the puddles and find breath in our cuddles alignment through the troubles meet me grounded. So when it thunders we can interlock roots and be well founded. Nine I want to do everything I have no business doing and I want to do it with you
