I love poetry

In the bleak mid-winter
Frosty wind made moan,
Earth stood hard as iron,
Water like a stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow,
Snow on snow,
In the bleak mid-winter
Long ago.

Our God, Heaven cannot hold Him
Nor earth sustain;
Heaven and earth shall flee away
When He comes to reign:
In the bleak mid-winter
A stable-place sufficed
The Lord God Almighty,
Jesus Christ.

"And then the snow too, kissed my lips."

I smiled lovingly at you this morning,
As you woke me up from my deep slumber,
The hunger in your eyes sparkled as you pounced on me
With wild abandoned.
And afterwards,
You looked deeply into my eyes and told me that you didn't sleep,
Reading on and off on your tablet, occasionally putting it down just to watch me sleep.,
Lightly stroking my face, as not to wake me up just yet.
As you told me this, you had tears forming, your heart beat playing a drum in my ears.
I gently wiped your tears away with my fingertips, then put them to my lips,
Then to yours.
You asked me if I really knew,
Just how much you loved me,
And before I could even get my answer of Yes,
to escape my lips,
You kissed me long and hard.
Passion building again.
This time, I took you.
And afterwards,
We held each other close and you asked me,
"Coffee?"
And I said yes, the perfect beginning's of a perfect morning.
And afterwards,
As we finished up our cups, you kissed me goodbye as I headed off to work.
I smiled as our lips part,
And opened the door to a new day...
And then the snow too, kissed my lips.
