Little Autumn Poem
early November sidewalk stroll
past the condo buildings nestled under the towering trees
towering in autumnal reds in bed with deep forest greens
and burnt ochre and past the harvest orange too
sneakered feet crunching the fallen leaves
sprinkles of rain dot my quilted black raincoat as I walk the loop
around my neighborhood on this blessed day
enjoying the warm sun and cool winter's-approaching breeze
and i think to myself how life is good and sweet
past the condo buildings nestled under the towering trees
towering in autumnal reds in bed with deep forest greens
and burnt ochre and past the harvest orange too
sneakered feet crunching the fallen leaves
sprinkles of rain dot my quilted black raincoat as I walk the loop
around my neighborhood on this blessed day
enjoying the warm sun and cool winter's-approaching breeze
and i think to myself how life is good and sweet
