@SatanBurger Possibly nice, but possibly terrifying. Have you read the Tibetan book of the dead, or the egyptian book of the dead (which, apparnetlt is better translated as "the egyptian book of the forth coming by night")? Good reads.I was an atheist when I was 18 (or more accurately, a rationalist materialist) but personally believe now that consciousness is probably just a conserved thing like so many other things in physics like momentum or energy.

One Buddhist monk tho says that in a way, we should be greatful to be born in the material realm, because while being reincarnated as an angelic being would be cool, we won't be able to contemplate the nature of existence in the same way since we'd be blissing out, and of course no one wants to be reincarnated into the hell realms.

@BRUUH I don't really buy into any human explanations into the afterlife to be afraid of anything at all, that's why I consider all possibilities. I'm not saying that any one person is wrong about whatever their version is but I fail to see how we can be so anthropomorphic about stuff we don't even know what it is. I also believe in balance, I can't say I have yet to figure it out but I somehow know deep inside that what people say makes little sense to me.
