I Wanna Know What Is Your Theory As to Who Built the Pyramids

My theory (not my own but one I believe in) is that they were built by an advanced civilisation around 30000 years ago. A civilisation wiped out by a catastrophic earth disaster some 13000 years ago. The pyramids were designed to capture and harvest sunlight (my theory) for power using technology we have not yet rediscovered.

The stones used were selected to withstand the elements and internal temperatures generated.

The eygptian tombs we visit today were parts of the surviving and hijacked pyramids by a much later civilisation from around 2000 years ago.

I tend to believe the pyramids were built by human (terrestrial) hands, and there is plenty of archeological evidence to support this. But, I can certainly understand the desire to believe they had a little help from the stars.

It just doesn't make sense to me why a civilization so advanced it could travel light years would come to world as primitive as Pre-Sumerian and Egyptian Earth to build structures out of stone..
Part of Your theory: The pyramids were designed to capture and harvest sunlight (my theory) for power using technology we have not yet rediscovered. Which I think makes sense.

My addition to Your theory: The pyramids were also designed (my theory) to guide rain downward in a steady flow which helped make it easier to collect the water if needed, also to have it lead somewhere so that there would not be flooding in the area, maybe even navigated back to the river.

I support that they were built by the Egyptians. There's a lot of archaeological evidence of the "city" the workers lived in near the pyramid sites. I continue to think we don't give ancient civilisations the credit we should. Its the historical position of Europeans back 100/200 years ago who couldn't accept that level of sophistication.

In the British museum I was once shown some jewellery from saxon Britain circa 600 ad. When it was supposedly all violent war chiefs etc. The curator showing us about said modern jewellers could not recreate the quality of the workmanship. We miss something about them in our arrogance I think.
Was watching a documentary on this yesterday. Ancient aliens it was called. You know they've found pyramid type structures on every continent in earth. Don't know who built them, but surely people couldn't have, without help anyway

@Jogadnbyt yes, that's right and across the Continents thay are located close to the equator. When you consider the material type of stone and the size of the blocks, there is no way on earth the civilization of 2000 years ago had the tools and power to construct such structures.
@Ironicman That's right, we'd have a job even building em now days, even with our technology

Ancient Egyptians had lots of practice building pyramids, as literally thousands of pyramids there. If you get a chance, go visit so you'll understand. Btw, the Great Pyramids at Giza are tombs.

@TidyYeti haha.... I haven't mentioned aliens

@Ironicman :D I'm jesting anyway, I really enjoy many theories about pyramids. Something does not fit with what we "know". Theres quite a few good programmes where they try to work out how quite a few old civiliastions managed to build and construct places and even the ones they can work out still don't make sense in actually having the tools to be able too.

Its mental stuff
Ironicman · 56-60, M
@TidyYeti mind blowing and keeps us on our toes

All these theories about them really are out there and I don't believe any of them.

They were built by ancient Egyptians as tombs through lots of hard work. There's nothing mysterious about them nor is it very difficult to build them. It just takes time and people have had plenty of that.
Ironicman · 56-60, M
@FeetAreFantastic yes, that what they taught me at school.
