I kinda like that people are scared of the desert.

I like how it's brutal enough people form negative connotations about it and stay away. So they never discover the actual beauty, diversity and vastness that makes it perfectly inhabitable and chill. So they don't destroy it too.

Y'all can have the coast. Enjoy the frozen shit food, high cost of living and nowhere for your toilets to flush.

Lived and worked in three areas of Nevada three separate times, Wendover, Reno, and Las Vegas, definitely not for the weak heat wise.

@NativePortlander1970 A widespread power outage would be disastrous in a desert city.
@cherokeepatti My late ex fiancee was supposed to pay the bills in Las Vegas, we had several disconnections because she "forgot", she had an online shopping addiction from an east coast department store called Boscov's, a bit more upscale than Macy's, but not quite Bloomingdale's. With her being on assisted oxygen from terminal lung disease she blew through portable tanks like water, and she was only allowed so many per month.
