Day 2 of the holiday and the sun has made an appearance 🙌 I grabbed my paddleboard and went to my favourite beach. You have a short coastal walk and steep steps to access it. But it has caves, rock pools full of anemones, deep sheltered coves great for swimming and it’s usually empty.
The views of the caves were even better from the ocean. We sat and watched the puffins and little jellyfish that swam past.
Once we got too close to the shore a massive wave broke and flipped the board. We played in the waves before heading back. The climb back up the cliffs was a killer with the board.

@Waxfoot I managed to stand okay although it's tougher than the rivers (obviously). I didn't pay enough attention when we were watching the puffins and drifted too close to the beach and a freak wave flipped the board. My daughter's sunglasses were lost to the sea. I found mine lol
