Morning hike.

We traveled to see some friends for an anniversary dinner last night. We decided to stay the night at an aunt's and walked down to a state park this morning and hiked around a bit. Pretty nice. The trails are too flat. I want more hills, damn it! Lol

Here are a few pics before we hike back.

I'm like that too. If there are no inclines etc, I don't feel like I've been on a hike, just a walk or at best, a ramble🤷‍♂️

@room101 Yes! Thank you! You get it :)
it's not properly exploring without hiking over hill and dale and on twisty steep little trails. (Which is the experience I like). Flat walking trails are just...idk...nice...but it's not a hike. It's just a walk .idk. And you get bored or finished before you feel like you've done any exercise. It's not satisfying.

I guess not every park is exciting. Lol.
If there hadn't been a lake to jump in and swim around in and that interesting dead tree, it would have felt a little like a bust. But we're currently a half a mile away from town now, so we'll wander around there and get a bite to eat before heading back.

Not a bad morning overall, so it's a bit unfair of me to complain. 😖 I've just been spoiled by going on more interesting hikes
