@ChipmunkErnie What about in an environment without gravity? Like the one we live in. I'm sure you are aware that we only NEED gravity IF the Earth is some sort of ball. Which it 100% is [u]not[/u].

@TBIman That makes no sense, but whatever. Gravity exists on non-spherical bodies, too.
