I Have Had Sleep Paralysis

You feel weight on your body pressing down on you, u hear voices, alien like or demonic sounds, dark figure standing beside u with shadow pouring onto u paralyzing you, at one point I felt hands around my neck, choking me. There have been many times that they try to take my breath away, but still am here. And many of you may not believe it or like it, but I call unto the Most High YHWH to deliver me from it, I say a prayer, and these entities weaken and flee.
The reason they come back is because I would be caught slipping, or they hate the fact that I am trying to live righteously. and the wicked never rest until they have taken away the precious life of an individual. But truth is they cannot take away our breath of life when we are equipped with the armor of YHWH.

Eh. It's really just a confidence pissing-match between "you" and "it/them". Whichever one is more convinced that their interpretation of what's happening is "real" will win more control over the trajectory of the interaction. Anytime the sleep-paralyzed person manages to come up with a context — [i]any[/i] context — for the "attack" that allows them agency/power in the situation, makes use of that agency/power, and has a heavy investment-of-belief that this context is actually an accurate one for what is happening, they will tend to "win" these encounters.

@Keraunos that may be your interpretation of it in secular terms. Your input is welcomed though. But I've experienced waaaaaay too much spiritual things, it runs deep in my lineage, I cannot deny the existence of the spiritual realm.
We all have our own experiences that shape us though.
