Update on my last post

So we went to the school and talked about what happened yesterday. It seems the student aid called in sick and the school didn't have a substitute available. So the students older sister came to school with him so he wouldn't have to miss. I guess it does give me a little peace of mind that it wasn't one of the school's AIDs that said something like that to our son. And I understand why the school allowed the older sister to come so he could attend school and not miss a day. The school is going to reach out to the boys parents and let them know what happened. And they will keep me updated.

Our boy was sad by what was said to him but he's a strong little guy and he bounced back pretty quick he was in a great mood the rest of the night and woke up this morning with a smile and ready to go back to school.

I am glad you got that settled and it wasn't an aid. Either the sister gets trained on how to better interact with special needs children or the school should not allow her to come back.

@Barefooter25 I agree it's still not okay that she said that to him. The school told me she wouldn't be allowed back this year

@YoMomma I am glad that it wasn't an aid but hopefully if they allow the sister to come back and they will have talked to her about this. She doesn't need to be interacting with the other kids if she's going to say hurtful things like that to the other children

@Cigarguy yeah that’s uncool 😳
